Lesson 8: Coping With Grief and Stress

The best way of dealing with extreme emotions is to find a verbal outlet for them. In other words, talking about what you’re feeling. Environmental interaction is to be used when conversational therapy is impossible. If you’re alone at work late at night and must keep working to reach deadline, if it’s too late to call a trusted confidante, if you are snowed in or if you’re stuck in bed until your bones graft properly… then use this method. If not, then it’s probably best to confide in someone.
