The best way of dealing with extreme emotions is to find a verbal outlet for them. In other words, talking about what you’re feeling. Environmental interaction is to be used when conversational therapy is impossible. If you’re alone at work late at night and must keep working to reach deadline, if it’s too late to call a trusted confidante, if you are snowed in or if you’re stuck in bed until your bones graft properly… then use this method. If not, then it’s probably best to confide in someone.

Notes
As opposed to exercising with virtually real postits, or stickies, this inflection is made upon the possibilities of capturing the essence of real postits and rendering them virtual but not detracting from their therapeutic utility.
In this picture, I am disassociating. Disassociating from the event which has triggered the text to be written, and reducing its negative charge.
This text, without the post-it, would not exactly be so much therapeutic as it would be therapeutically instructive. This would qualify as a means of detaching oneself from events so as not to have to deal or “stomach” frustration. It’s those moments when you believe that whatever is happening is not happening to you.
Or something like that.
Stop. think. breathe. happy place.
What the postit does, in virtual sense, is detract from that disassociation. I think. Or something like that.
